ABOUT US

The Virginia Alliance for Peer Support (VAPS) is a statewide organization that supports mental health, addiction, healing and recovery journeys. We bridge the gaps for young adults in Virginia to receive direct peer support to address mental health and/or substance use challenges.  As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we seek to be grant-funded so there is no cost to the individual.

WHO WE SERVE

YOUNG ADULTS

Anyone (18-30) who is dealing with mental health
and/or substance use challenges.

FAMILY & FRIENDS

Anyone wanting to receive peer support for better understanding
of their loved one’s behavioral health challenges. 

🌈We are LGBTQ+ friendly. We want EVERYONE to feel comfortable connecting with us.

WHAT WE OFFER

We support young adults and family members through 1:1 peer support, group support and training programs.

For those interested interested in becoming a Peer Suppor Provider in Virginia, we have training and workforce development programs.
